So by the Catholic definition, interpreting your dreams is a no-no?

Not necessarily, but we tend to be very cautious about dreams. Of course there are Biblical examples of God speaking to people through dreams and there are also many Christians who have had such experiences--St. John Bosco had a lot of famous ones. It is often difficult to interpret dreams and discern whether they are authentically from God, just natural dreams that reflect our experiences and thoughts, or from the evil one. A Catholic who believes he or she is having dreams from God, should seek out a spiritual director. It bears pointing out that supernatural dreams are very rare.
