  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Me, me, me!!!!

When I was little, I was in the opening scenes of our local news. I was at a charity food drive and I was smiling so big! They kept it for a few years so it got embarrassing after a while, people kept telling me how happy I looked.

And my church is on our local station every Sunday. Since I sit on the front row, you can always see me (with my Bible or program covering my face) I hate being on T.V., but I love being on the front row. One time I held a baby up in front of me (like Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act).

I've been on the local news several times. Once in 8th grade for being the highest tester in the area for an experimental reading program. Four times during "game of the week" when I was in the marching band. And once during the National Day of Prayer.

Oh yeah, and I was in "Best of the Class" commercials when I graduated from high school. Just a thing for the regional valedictorians. They made me stand beside this really ugly statue (it was a heap of twisted and rusted metal, honestly!) and throw my hat in the air. :sorry:

This is a fun topic!

When I was in elementary school, I was a news anchor for our city's school news show. I guess it was like a public access type station. That was fun.

And our church was televised so I was on there more times than I wish to remember!

Other than taking my shirt off and acting like an idiot to get on the jumbo-tron at old Tiger Stadium, I was at the beginning of a 5k cancer run. they were filming the start of the race.

Nthing noteworthy.

which episode of wishbone?
It was called "bone of contention" I think...I don't remember what the book that corresponded was. I was 14 and I got paid $60 for the day. Another girl got up to around $300 doing various voice over/extra type stuff that week.

Does being flashed on the jumbo-tron at a game count?
Yes, of course!

Does local-access cable count?
Yes sir! Tv is tv regardless of whom sees it & who it is broadcasted to.

I was on a PBS show called "Wishbone" if anyone remembers that
I do!! I do!! I LOVED that show, with that amazing dog. [[sigh]] Good times .. Good times ..

I've not been, but there was a period of about 6 weeks where my dad was on a religious talk show with other pastors talking about various topics
That is awesome. What were some of the topics?!

**WOOT WOOT** for all that have been caught in action.

:yum:

Wishbone huh? I used to watch that as a kid! Thats really neat. ;)

I was on TV once, the canadian A-channel news, me and a few friends were walking around the mall and noticed a reporter doing a story.
You know when you're watching local news and there are people in the background looking at the camera, or doing some REALLY annoying thing like waving hi or flashing gang signs... well yeah, we started flashing some gang signs I was doing a north side posse nonexistant thing I remember. Hahah!

Oh shnap, I was on NHL "Cool Shots" back when the Red WIngs played the Capitals for the cup.

My buddy, his brother and I all went to DC, shaved our heads and donned the jersey. I was walking around with a broom when I see this lady with a microphone, so we all head over there. The guys next to her yells "Alright people, we're shooting NHL Cool Shots, we nee all Capitals fans over here."

I look up and there's about 50 blue jersey's surrounding us (the three red jerseys, first row, in the middle of the shot).

We did three takes, and we got pummled and beat by the Cap fans during each one but we stood our ground.
