Hmm, I would have to agree with the perverted jokes. Those certainly are not appropriate. I wouldn't stand for that.

However, the farting and burping...everyone does that! I just ask for my bf to say excuse me afterwards and if he can to not do it right next to me....I appreciate that. But it just happens at times...lol....

Bodily functions can't be avoided, sadly (for some...)...to do something and then joke about it would be possibly a cause for concern, but what's improper about excusing yourself after you burp or fart?

Perverted jokes may portray an image contrary to the image of holiness that God desires, but I can't see how an innocent and uncontrollable expulsion of air does the same thing.

Burping and farting are natural bodily functions, and everyone does it, but there does come a time when it is excessive and rude (doing it on purpose, doing it just to be doing it, doing it at inappropriate times). If this is the point it was at for you, then I think that is a very respectful and mature decision on your part.

Bodily functions can't be avoided, but it's nice of you to think of her. Leaving the room or saying excuse me is a great idea. I wish my boyfriend would do that, but it really doesn't bother me that much. Kudos to the OP!

I remember the first time I burped in front of my gf. She had been gone for 4 days, and I was used to burping really loud when she was gone...because I do that when I am not around her. Anyways...I let my guard down and burped really obnoxiously. She was pretty disgusted and looked at me weird...but that is because she absolutely hates burping...completely. It is always funny when she burps because she tries to play it off like...oh I coughed or something along those lines...
