  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Madagascar and Australia, a question for creationists.

Eugenics - Wikipedia
"A major criticism of eugenics policies is that, regardless of whether "negative" or "positive" policies are used, they are susceptible to abuse because the criteria of selection are determined by whichever group is in political power at the time"

Which I just realize is exactly the same source that you posted lolz

Ignore the red herrings. Some around here can't discuss the topic so they constantly try and change the subject. Best to just ignore them.

Zactly.

Concern yourself more with the red heifer, whose blood foreshadowed the precious blood of Jesus Christ forgiving our sins.

If human sacrifice is somehow necessary for redemption, then the Aztec's have you beat by quite a bit.

Eugenics is a social philosophy that abuses science for a racist purpose

A major criticism of eugenics policies is that, regardless of whether "negative" or "positive" policies are used, they are susceptible to abuse because the criteria of selection are determined by whichever group is in political power at the time.
All science is susceptible to abuse. That isn't an argument against the science, it's an argument against the people who misuse it.

Full disclosure, I believe eugenics will become necessary at some point to maintain a viable humanity.

What are these 'sins' that you speak of and how did someone else dying pay for your 'sins'? if I owe you $10 dollars and my friend forgives me that debt do I still need to pay you the $10?

But you can bet your bottom dollar that no one would deny gravity by stepping off the Empire State Building lolzz

Ask your pastors this question, Why do animals and plants living on these island not exist anywhere else on earth?
Could it be because they were isolated from the rest of the world and evolved?
Yes, after the breakup of Pangea evolution continued on different continents. The oldest human remains found in Australia to date is the Mungo River find which dates to 40-68,000 years. Interestingly that find is chalanging the "out of Africa" theory.

Matthew 27:40b If thou be the Son of God, come down from the cross.

Mark 2:7b who can forgive sins but God only?

1 Timothy 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

You're talking about universalism.

You need to read the article more closely. It's about an ancestral gene, not a gene arising twice independently. But by all means, keep trying.

actually you are wrong. this paper show that if we will find the same genes in far species but not in some of the species between them- evolution will not falsified. and this is the reason why evolution isnt science.

* kangaroo poster *

Steve Miller needs to read Acts 8, doesn't he?

Acts 8:39 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went on his way rejoicing.
Acts 8:40 But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

If God can do that with a human, He can do that with a kangaroo.

Matthew 22:29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.

Going back is one thing, the bigger puzzle would be,....how did each pair of animals knew that a flood was coming? And how did they know that there was an Ark thousands of miles away waiting for their arrival? How was each lucky pair selected? Lucky draw?

If the answer is Goddidit,...wouldn't it be easier to construct a much smaller Ark just enough for Noah and his family, then after the flood, Goddidit again to create the whole animal kingdom from scratch like when he did it the first time?

Or even better, just snap his fingers and every living being disappear except Noah and his family? It took about 100 years to construct the Ark, 40 days and night raining, total time spent on board the Ark was about a year or so, not to mention the mind boggling logistics involved .....and everything could have been accomplished with a single command from God.....

But nah, we want Ark we want Ark we want Ark,....

Claiming divine intervention when facts don't back up the exaggerated claims of the authors of the scriptures can do a lot as well. It's like Oxiclean.

Which claim is easier to accept?

Miller's or mine?

That's it, if you can't answer the questions throw verses at them.
