  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Lukewarm - What being an agnostic is all about

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all--how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies." Romans 8:28-33

"But when God, who set me apart from birth and called me by his grace, was pleased to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not consult any man." Galatians 1:15-16

Question: But if we do not of our own freewill choose salvation, then why must we go out to seek and save the lost?

Answer: That is God's way of doing things. For the purpose of this corrupt earth, is to prove that when Adam caused the Spirit to leave him, and the spirit in man became a dead spirit, it became impossible to do good or even choose good. Surely, to think that we have any goodness of our own, even the goodness to chose good, this is pure self-righteousness. And what being an agnostic is all about.

Question: But then, why bother to encourage lukewarm brothers to stop corrupting our church with their good used to hide evil darkness?

Answer: Because God chooses most of us church goers to be hypocrites. What better way for God to prove the impossibility of any truth or light penetrating a mind locked in darkness by the fear of death. For the only thing such an animal without a conscience can do, is seek all pleasure and avoid all pain just to kill the thought of death.
