  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think that sin and Satan are distinct . . . though one was certainly birthed from the other.

Paul admitted to being the chief of sinners, so yes. This is the tension in the NT. Paul is evil. Paul is a saint. We are in the in-between time when flesh and spirit struggle within us. (An oversimplification, I know.)

It would seem you simply smear Paul and make him evil. Were that so none of us would have any use in listening to him, as everything he said would be suspect.

John the Apostle tells us openly that "He who commits sin is OF THE DEVIL" so why don't you bring that to the table of understandings? Why just PAUL? Was PAUL the DEVIL?

And if there IS such a thing as THE DEVIL, then WHERE is that factored into your understandings?

Refusal to "look there" in yourself is a sign of that resistance working to this day. And the result is ALWAYS mere perpetual blame, accusations and condemnation toward our fellow man, whom we are commanded to LOVE...not condemn.

enjoy!
