PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE POST BEFORE YOU REPLY THANK YOU!

I'm really interested in lucid dreaming and I'm doing my best to achieve it the experience is like this:

You are dreaming,

You are fully aware you are dreaming,

You can Fully control your actions in the dream (but they are not limited like the actions in the physical world are for example flying),

Everything is amazingly realistic. example: Someone had a lucid dream and they picked up a handful of snow they could feel the cold on their hand and could see every single snowflakes detail and the glistening light because of the sun all in a dream the human mind,

Astral Projection is something I REALLY DO NOT want any part of I've heard astral projection is something like an Out of Body Experience and spirit realm and astral planes and new age spirituality satanic lies and occultic stuff that I want no part of. But I HAVE heard that you can astral project while lucid dreaming and I'm afraid of that. Someone please guide me all help is much appreciated thanks in advance.

WOW. to be honest I really can't help you there... but the lucid dreaming? the way you describe it, i believe I've had dreams like those.

my logic tells me that if you are in complete control during lucid dreaming, then you won't astral project since you would have to make the choice?
I also think that if you have God on your side and you pray his blood over you, you have nothing to fear :)

Lucid dreams are quite normal, in the sense that they're not dangerous or satanic. Everyone has dreams in which they have some sort of control- cause, hello, dreams are in your mind. In your mind you can do whatever you want, and nothing can happen that you don't have some control over. The non-lucid dreams are the ones we think are real.

Astral projection though, I wouldn't mess with. I don't believe in it at all, but to be honest I don't really know what it is. It seems to be messing with the mind more than anything, much more than lucid dreaming.

Lucid dreaming has nothing to do with astral projection. It is in no way satanic, diabolical, magical, spiritual, New Age, or occult. It is a mental exercise, and a healthy one at that. It's in the same field of other mental tricks like memorization and speed reading. You shouldn't have any worries about pursuing this. However, it is very difficult and it is very easy to find yourself discouraged, so you might want to seek out the support of an online community. Lucid Views is the premier lucid dreaming community, if you want to google it.

Good luck!

Okay I don't think my mom fully understands. I said my intentions were to be a superhero in an imaginary city and fly and stuff then she said "If God wanted us to fly he would have made us that way." I don't get it... That's pretty much saying that consciously imagining OR pretending you are flying is sinful... I'll research it more and if anything arises that scares me I will quit. What does everyone else think?

That's fear of the unknown talking. If you don't understand something, the Devil must be behind it.

You know, there are some people who naturally lucid dream and have been able to all their lives (lucky few!). Is there something wrong with them? A birth defect?

I say go on with it full steam ahead. If you want to, that is. :)

To be honest I kinda doubt that person could feel the snow and see every snow flake clearly. Dreams dont seem to work like that. Maybe they new that there were many snow flakes and that it was cold (as tends to happen in dreams, you just somehow know things).

I dont think lucid dreaming is wierd spiritual stuff, its just how the brain and mind work. All it is is knowing your asleep and then thinking what happens next (well thats what I thought).

I highly doubt you will randomly astral project yourself while sleeping and if it is even possible to astral project yourself I doubt it is satanistic.

Lucid dreaming, as it was stated earlier, is not even remotely Satanic or diabolical by any means. Lucid dreaming is at the very least, day dreaming to the extent where one can do whatever they wish. I suppose it would depend on your actions in the dream for the dream itself to be considered evil, but it is a mental exercise where one uses their ability to visualize things for that person to be able to see and visualize things better. As a person who has studied such things, I would recommend it for those who are looking to become better at visualizing and to learn to have self control and possibly discipline in one's life.

Astral Projection is an entirely different concept altogether. It does have some establishment in Lucid dreaming but it takes much more concentration and will on the person's part. Truth be told, I have only heard of such things but never actually seen or experienced any such thing at all. If you are looking to avoid it, then you need not worry for fear of being Satanic. You are only practicing a mental game of the ability to control your dreams.

mmk :) so If my mom says anything else about it I'll show her this thread

THANK YOU ALL! I will continue my pursuit on lucid dreaming tonight!

EDIT: one mor ething with the binaural beats... In the instructions it says to "let your mind drift as you listen" I don't like the idea of a vulnerable mind so I focus on Jesus name...

Binaural beats are a technology used to alter your brain waves. The idea is that there are four types of brain waves: alpha, beta, delta, theta. When you are relaxed, you are often in an alpha state. When you fall asleep, you are entering a delta state. When you are dreaming, you are in a theta state.

With binaural beats, you put on headphones and a sound is played in your ears. It is a low buzzing sound. Then a third "sound" (you don't hear it) is created in your brain corresponding to the desired brain waves. For example, if you want to fall asleep with the help of binaural beats you listen to the sounds and, theoretically, you begin to fall asleep as your brain waves are changed.

Results definitely vary. I have tried numerous products from hemi-sync, but I have never had stellar or mind-blowing results. The science behind this technology is disputed.
