Anyone have them here? Do you want to share the scenes? Do you talk to the people and tell them they aren't real? Look for things? Ask for advice?

I find myself walking near the ocean on a pure white sandy beach (not beige sand)with clear turquoise sky and a warm bright sun with seagulls with playground equipment that is extremely large like a few stories high at least. that is a common scene starter. It is normally pretty isolated and quiet.

Wow can I come to your dream please?? :D
Isn't lucid dreaming when you KNOW you are dreaming and you can control the dream? (come on psych 101 where are you now??) :D

As close as I come to lucid dreaming is when I know it's a dream, and I can choose my own actions and reason things out, but I have no control over everything else. Usually, when I dream, I have no control over anything anyway.

All I really know about my dreams is that I dream in color, I can read in my dreams, and often I don't realize that I'm dreaming but the thought crosses my mind and I end up telling myself that it's real and I believe it to the point that I wake up depressed, upset, etc...Of course, when I fully awaken, I don't feel those things, it's just whenever I'm coming out of the dream.

Most of my lucid dreams involve cars, a beautiful woman (who looks nothing like anyone I've ever met), guns, danger, and a mission of some kind. Seems like the car is usually a convertable, a Chevelle or GTO, the woman is always brunette with brown eyes and olive skin, my sidearm is always a parkerized 1911, and I always end up going home at the end of the dream. I think it may have something to do with the novel I'm writing???

I also have another kind of lucid dream where I don't know it's a dream but I do have complete control and I'm usually trying to exercise demons from somebody or trying to exercise them from myself. It's always dark, and the colors always remind me of the colors on the album cover of Jars of Clay's first CD.

Okay, psyche majors, tell me what's wrong with me. :D

Ok, this might sound strange but I have lucid dreams every few months or so. They don't usually start that way but in some part of the dream I realize that it is a dream and that I am in control of everything(may'be not everything, but a number of things). Sometimes I fly after this...(usually I can fly for a little bit then it's almost like I can't remember how I did it so I run for a bit, go up, and then come back down). One time I remember having a nightmare but when I realized it was a dream it was like I made the wind blow out from my hands and push back the people that were trying to come after me in my dream. Again it worked for a bit and then I noticed it became less powerful. I've also noticed that whenever I'm able to do these sorts of things, or when I realize it's a dream, I'll wake up very shortly after. I hope this doesn't sound too nutts. I'm almost afraid of what the psyc majors will say.lol Bill

ok, when you speak of lucid dreams are you just saying that you can set your dreams or are you saying that you believe that you can actually meet people that are dreaming as well?
In some cases I have fallen into a situation to enter but I cannot control the situation, only myself. Usually it just happens. I don't think these people are also dreaming. It is possible I suppose I could meet someone who is though.

Yes, its where you know you are dreaming. I am not an expert on this thing. I would like to talk about it.

I agree with your first paragraph, but I'm not clear with the second one. What do you mean you wake up depressed etc. until you wake up fully? Do you mean you have conflict about the dream not being real until you wake up?

I guess writing a novel would cause you to have similar scenes.

That's interesting. I wouldn't care what the psyche majors think. But if its highly personal, just dont mention it.

Please can someone tell me what setting their font is on for normal type so I don't have to go through a bunch testing them?

Ok to clear things up I am gonig to define lucid via our handy dandy www.dictionary.com

Ah bummer, can't get it there,

Well, here's what this site says about it:
http://www.lucidity.com/LucidDreamingFAQ2.html#LD

Lucid dreaming means dreaming while knowing that you are dreaming.
If this is the case for lucid dreams..I have them almost all of the time. They are always of a spiritual nature and I am constantly fighting demons..Weird huh?
