What is this evil game that we call love?
Is it real or is it an illusion?
Is it a means of attraction or flat-out deceit?
Will it get us through life?
Or kill us in the end?

You tried so hard, yet you could not stop us
The love we had was unbreakable
Through thick and thin we stayed by each other
Yet you still insisted on intruding

By nightfall and morning we were untouchable
Yet when we were apart we were so vulnerable
How could you do this to a couple so happy?
Who wanted nothing more than each other’s welcome company?
