  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Hi. :) People tell me the lotion doesn't work. However!! I used it on my belly every day with my last pregnancy and I do not have a single stretch mark, I can even wear bikinis. Sooooo either I have the best luck in the world or there's something to this lotion thing. I've decided to give it another shot this round, what could it hurt right? :)

With becky I used a lotion religiously . .. can't remember which one though, it was a standard anti-stretchmark one though, and I got stretchmarks, but my mum got stretchmarks so I think it was bound to happen.

At the mo I use E-45 body lotion, it helps with itching and makes my skin nice and soft.

I used lotion when I was pregnant with my daughter. It had cocoa butter and vitamin E in it. Never helped a bit as far as stretch marks. I think lotions have little to no effect on whether you get stretch marks, they can help you feel better though. Stretch marks have more to do with genetics rather than any topical treatments. If your mother got stretch marks and you have similar skin to her then it's a good bet that you'll get them too.

I always used Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lotion (the unscented one). It won't help with stretch marks, but it Definately helped with the itching and stretching. :)

Taking Vit.E by mouth will help prevent stretch marks by increasing the elasticity of the skin. Fish oils are also very good for this.
