  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

A friend of mine sent out a prayer request through email last night. Her dog had run off and it still had it's leash attached. This morning she sent out another email Praising God for the fact that they had found her dog, and explaining how it all took place.

The dogs leash had become tangled in barbed wire near some bushes. They had searched and passed by the dog six times without seeing it. It was on the seventh attempt that they found him, and it wasn't until after dark that they did. They found Him because the light of a flashlight caught his eyes and his eyes gave off a glow from the light.

I found it interesting that they had found him on the seventh attempt. And couldn't help but notice how we can sometimes run from God, or simply go astray. When we do go astray we get tangled up in the ways of the world, and end up in darkness. But God has a way of calling us back. He places others around us who have the light of Christ within them. That light shines through the darkness around us, and catches our eyes in order to draw us home.

It seems that sometimes it takes a bit of darkness before you can see the light.

Do I love this story? lol! You bet I do. Almost as much as I love dogs. And could we ever write a story about the number 7? This story naturally brings to mind the story of the city of Jericho. If any one wants to read it you can find it in the 6th chapter of Joshua, and I stongly recommend it.

But truly I love the way you have summed up the story of salvation. For indeed none of us can ever see Jesus untill we are made aware of the darkness that surrounds us.

The Lighthouse is not only one awesome incredible song, but it is also my personal Testimony. Here is a link to the words:

Rusty Goodman sang it and made it famous. It was Gospel song of the year. I heard him sing it many times, but I don't think he ever got through it once without breaking down, and I always did the same. There was an anointing when he sang it like nothing I have ever seen before. Now Rusty is with that old Lighthouse, and I know he is singing like he never could have sung it here. Glory to God. There is a lump in my throat just thinking of it.

That's like one of the coolest stories i've heard! Great devotion too :). It's also funny too. Sometimes it really does take alot of darkness to cloud over us before we notice the light.

Like the sun. We don't give much attention to it until an eclipse puts it into darkness. That's when we notice. We humans can be so strange...
