As you are all aware we have lost quite a few people from the world of entertainment & people prominent in the culture-be it journalism, authors, etc. This week of Christmas I found enormously difficult with the passing of both Carrie Fisher & her mom Debbie Reynolds. I've met both & I found them to be very genuine & genuinely funny. Laughter is the best medicine. I can't say I'm laughing this week-they left us too soon. It always brings me to the point of why do bad things happen to good ordinary people. If there is a minister out there in the forum, I could sure use some help with this. They're gone forever & that is the part of passing on that I don't comprehend very well. I mean it's not like God calls you up & you take an elevator to the 29th floor. It is too painful for the living.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

It is extremely awkward here, and in any place would usually take a few years to come to grips with these sort of things in line with YHWH'S WORD (THE BIBLE) , PLAN, and PURPOSE in Y'SHUA(JESUS).
Reading the PSALMS is WONDERFUL for PEACE , JOY, and RECOVERING , (and has a lot of ups and downs similar to what we go through) ,
and is very common for singing and praying and learning and being encouraged in life's difficult moments (which are frequent, btw).
