• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

I feel the need to say a few things to the people who feel they may be losing faith in God and Jesus.

Have a look outside, or better yet, go on to Google images and type in "scenery" and have a look through the photo's. Look how beautiful everything is, how perfect it almost is, do you think that can be put down to "just nature"?

Sit in a coffee shop and people watch, not in a creepy way, in an admiring way. Look at all those people leading a life completely oblivious to the world that you are watching, that's God, taking them through their life plan, making things happen for them and testing them, just as he must test us.

Take yourself away from all thoughts that are provoked by Earthly things and think seriously about some of the things that have happened in your life, everything always got better, or when things were perfect, a test came along that might have seemed to "ruin everything". Nothing was being ruined, your relationship with God was becoming thicker.

Don't let anything on Earth take your love away from God. He WILL make everything better, he WILL test you but in the end? Heaven awaits you.

These are the things that I do whenever I feel myself slipping away and feel "dry".

It may not be much use to you, but I pray that someone who needs this finds it.

May God bless all of you.
