  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Lordi is pretty cool, in fact, i first heard them on eurovision.

Anyway, they were almost banned from the contest because people 'THINK' they're satanic, when in fact, they're not. It's just their image that makes people think that (and who can blame them, if i were more narrow-minded i'd think a band of people dressing like monsters was satanic too).
Anyway, with a song like The Devil is a Loser, or the one they played Hard Rock Halleluia do you honestly think they can be?

Lordi could be considered metal, but that's a dispute for another day. Doesn't matter though, i like them, and from their performance and sound, i can see why they won despite their appearance

lordi are far from satanic, the members of the bands are either aethiest or christian, one thing gi do know however is that the drummer used to drum for his church!!! i mean just listen to their songs and you wil hear their bltent message (that God is the only way and that choosing the devil leads to bad things)... one thing i can never understand with most religions is that they never listen anything out, they are always right thinking that everyone else believes the same as them because they are part of an organized religion, if you were to see me walking down the street i bet you would presume that i am a satanist simply because i wear a lot of black, when in actuality i know more about christianity and many other religions than some of the people who claim to be its "leaders"....

Lordi not even the frist band to dress up as monsters for the stage, There KISS, GWAR, MushroomHead, SlipNot and there of other freaky looking people in the rock and metal world to but that dose not mean there all Satanic. As for Lordi I think there okay, they do have a couple songs I think are good but they remind me of GWAR to much.

I saw Death Cab on tuesday, and Ben Gibbard talked about how he has been listening to Neil Young's new album "Living With War".

He proposed the idea of creating a reality tv show, called "Living with Gwar" which put Neil Young in the same house as Gwar, and they had to live peacefully, and write music together.

haha. sorry if you don't think this is amusing. just thought i'd mention that, with the mention of Gwar
