This was an idea I've had for a while, and I am wondering who would be interested in it.
Almost everyone has heard the legendary tale of the Lord of the Rings, written by J.R.R. Tolkien, which now has become an epic motion picture trilogy. The grand tale of the Hobbit that obtained the One Ring from his uncle Bilbo and now must cross the land called Middle-Earth to dispose of it within Mount Doom.
But now the legendary question is applied. What if? It can go in many places: what if Isildur destroyed the Ring when the time presented it? what if Bilbo killed Gollum? what if the hobbits went through Bree and never met Aragorn? what if Aragorn was not able to scare off the Ringwraiths and in turn save Frodo?
Many questions. But another couple come to mind.
What if the Fellowship fell in Moria? What if the party ignored Gandalf's warning and decided to aid him in the battle of the Balrog? What if some of them fell with him?
As this rpg opens, Frodo will have fallen the massive distance from the Bridge of Khazad-Dûm. Gandalf breaks the bridge and casts the Balrog down into the depths of Moria, and falls himself. The Ringbearer, and with him the One Ring, the entire object of the quest, is gone.
The players will take the roles of the remaining fellowship and embark on newfound quest to recover the One Ring. Are you willing to take the roles of heroes and make your mark in Middle-Earth?
