The Lord Jesus alone has the right to possess you as Lord.
He not only died on Calvary's cross, and was buried, but on the third day He rose again, according to the scriptures, and ascended on high. Now He shares that resurrection life of His , by the indwelling of His Holy Spirit; and with that resurrection life He not only penetrates but possesses every truly redeemed life.

God made us to be inhabited: and any area of your life that is not possessed by the Lord Jesus constitutes one of the greatest danger points in your life. A vacant house in any circumstances is a very dangerous place; it is the place of seducers and robbers and thugs: and any area of your life that isn't covered by the Lordship of Christ consciously and continuously, is a danger point. It was because Peter had not submitted to the sovereignty of Christ, as we understand it today, that he collapsed under pressure and denied the Lord.

If Jesus Christ isn't undisputed, unrivalled Lord in your life, you are a target for the enemy.

Now don't mistake me. You can't even be saved without acknowledging His Lordship. No man can call Jesus Lord, but by the Holy Ghost; but that is not final. There is no fixation point in the Christian life. As the great areas of our life are thrown open by the light of the Word, we have got continually to say. 'Lord in this area be Thou sovereign; and in this area be Thou Master; and in this area be Thou King'

Great thoughts Cavell. An area of my life which I'm currently haven't let the Lord into enough is worrying and planning. I've been trying to trust the Lord more and not fret over every detail of the day.

If Jesus Christ isn't undisputed, unrivaled Lord in your life, you are a target for the enemy.

Actually, what I have discovered this past year is that because Jesus is the undisputed, unrivaled Lord in my life, I am a target for the enemy. This has been a year full of spiritual attacks right and left.

Amen to that! If Jesus isn't Lord of your life, then Satan is your best friend. Why would he do anything to cause you to run off to join Jesus' team?

I served on a Via de Cristo team this past weekend. We had 23 pilgrims and in the pre-sendoff team meeting, people were talking about various attacks that they had experience in the week leading up to Thursday night. The Spiritual Director stopped us all and just asked how many thought they had been the target of an attack and almost every hand went up. We prayed extra hard in that meeting and then went to meet the Pilgrims.

The weekend was full of more challenges than usual, but every Pilgrim got through it and felt the change. Many of them were being attacked throughout the weekend, but the pastor that gave the Obstacles to Grace talk was so moved by all the attacks that she rewrote it on the fly and spend the time talking about spiritual armor and the talk was wonderful!! Everyone got it and spent the rest of the weekend talking about their spiritual armor again and a again.

Dear cavell. Yes,Jesus is Lord of our lives, and in Matthew 22: 35-40: Jesus has told us again: " The first and great Commandment is; Love God with all our hearts, with all our souls, and with all our minds. The second is like it:
Love our neighbour as ourselves." Jesus has also pointed out: " On these two Commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." Everything we say or do,
everything we advice or stand for, MUST BE FROM LOVE FOR GOD OUR HEAVENLY FATHER, AND LOVE FOR OUR NEIGHBOUR AS FOR OURSELVES.
Just imagine if that already was the case, wouldn't life be wonderful. I have noticed that more and more people are truly trying to become more and more loving, and that makes this imperfect world MUCH NICER.
We know that we can " ask and ye shall receive," ( Matthew 7: 7-10 then we thank God and share all love and caring with our neighbour: all we know and all we meet, friends and not friends. We keep asking and thanking God, and then sharing all love and kindness with all around us. We might stumble and forget at times, but then we ask God to forgive us, and carry on loving and caring.
The Bible tells us to " Repent," and to " Be Born Again." give up all our selfishness and let our love shine. Love is a Christian`s great weapon, and we know that with love we can overcome all anger and wrong behaviour.
Our Lord lives, and let us show that we Love Jesus and follow His Commandments to LOVE and Care. I say this love, cavell. Greetings from Emmy, your sister in Christ.
