The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You've some idea why you feel bad?
Possibly you need to lay a firm hold on what is bugging you so that you can begin to fix it. Just a thought.

Suicide... missed that. I struggled with it too. Know that your life is your own, and yes indeed, you could take it. I am not among those who say it is somehow selfish. Usually, it is a person who is struggling to cope with feelings that they somehow are not worthwhile, and the thing you need to get into touch with is it is not your job to be worthwhile to anyone but God, and you already ARE worthwhile to Him.
Focus on that. Do not be worrying yourself over others until you have a firm grip on who you are, your intrinsic worth, and that God loves you and that it is simply not going to help or change anything if you kill yourself. I am not encouraging you to become self centered. I am telling you though that you can't be much good to anyone else until your have yourself taken care of, and you deserve that. YOU DESERVE THAT! It's not a me first thing, it is a "I have certain, minimal needs that must be met," thing.
I hope I am not way off base. Whatever you do, do not read this as some sort of encouragement to kill yourself because I said, "your life is your own." No. The point there is that there's really nothing anyone can do to stop you, so you need to concentrate on KNOWING how completely worthless that option is as a solution. You will either hurt people who do not deserve to be hurt, or else, if people really are THAT bad, guess what? They won't care... The whole thing will be wasted on them. Oh, they may be momentarily sad... but it will achieve nothing long term.
The worst sort of suicidal tendency is the one that simply comes from a desire to end pain without any real concern for others... This type of desire needs to be combatted with the idea, hey! If I feel bad, is KILLING myself the way to go, or do I not need to go our and ENJOY myself instead?
There are usually a lot of conflicting thought patterns going on too...
They always say to look for professional help to deal with that as well. Just be carefull and selective who you go to, okay?

Wow...thank you so much Shane. Wow. That is exactly what I needed to hear.I have been trying, and i got out of my bind for a few weeks actually, but then things fell out of place again. That is exactly what I need to do, to take time for myself. I am always worried about hurting people, saying the wrong thing, or offending someone that when someone offends me, I don't say or do anything, then it all falls back down for many different reasons.

Stay balanced, and don't forget God, for sure!!! I didn't really tell you a thing you wouldn't hear from Him, or learn from His word. Heh, prayer and Bible study -- like free lifetime supply of psychotherapy! *grins* Anyhow, yeah, it helps to "hide the word in your heart" so to speak, but in the meantime I hope to hear from you and maybe be of a little help to you again from time to time.
