Hi, I am looking for some good scriptures were as I can meditate on for what is bothering me. I am feeling I guess isolated and hurt. Please post some scriptures so I can feel better! Thank you all!

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Isaiah 54:4-5 really ministered to me when I was going through a season of feeling isolated & hurt by people I loved dearly. Verse 5 is so awesome because God assures me that He is my Maker and my Husband. Maker refers to Him as my Creator and Establisher while Husband speaks to Him as my Covering and Protector.
Be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His might. He cares about everything that concerns us. In times of feeling isolated and hurt, it's a time when we gain revelation of who He really is. This is a period of "Faith" being tested. When you don't feel Him near....will you still trust Him (Donnie McClurkin said that best).

Lord help our hearts to trust You...even in the dark...it is not about how we feel...but about how great You really are...able to carry us, know matter how we feel...willing to carry us when feelings won't or can't...able to do and willing to do more than we can ask or think. Strengthen our hearts Lord with Your grace...help us to understand and believe it in more than our selves or circumstances.
Help us also Lord to forgive...pasts hurts, but also to forgive ourselves...we are but dust...yet You love us with an everlasting love. Thank You Lord.

Being a christian is no guarantee things will go smoothly and that we'll feel good! When the peace of Christ dwells in us we know then that it is forever His way, His will that must be done. Often that way is very difficult and it is then, if we continue to trust Him, we will grow in our faith!

Ah...There are three areas I go to in the Word when feeling down and needing uplifting.
The first may be rather suprising for some. Most associate it with death when in fact it's all about life. [bible]Psalm 23:1-6[/bible]
The second is "The Sermon on the Mount". Matthew 5
Last, but certainly not least, would be John 14 and 15.

I went through a rejection by someone very close to me and one of my mentors gave some verses from Isaiah 53 & 54. I can still quote 54:10 from memory, and that was more than twenty years ago.electlady0716 said:
