Hey, i am an ex salvation army member and am keen to involve the SA involved in my new project.
As i'm sure many are aware the uk Church is losing members every week and the SA itself is losing numbers every year, and the biggest drop in numbers is in a group of 11-18 year olds, my aim (well what God has told me to do) is to travel the UK going to different places and getting a good sample of the church to see what we are doing right and what we are (in my view) doing wrong.
I am going to be staying in host family's homes for a short period of time and going to their church - i want to be clear that i am not judging churches or trying to tell the church that their doing it all wrong as i myself am a youth worker and would hat for some one just to come in and say "you're doing it all wrong" but really i am trying to work out the Church as a united force's problems and actually what we are doing right.
I would very much like to attend 2/3 salvation army's in the UK and so if there is anyone out there who could put up with an old soldier for a week or two, i would be very intreasted in hearing from you, if you want to know more check out my blog at christianleapoffaith.wordpress (full linkis on signiture)
