  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Acts 3:12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?

Romans 1:4 And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead:

Romans 6:19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.

Here are some about holiness, hope they help.

Romans 6:19 - I am using a human analogy because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you offered the parts of yourselves as slaves to moral impurities, and to greater and greater lawlessness, so now offer them as slaves of righteousness, which results in sanctification. (HCSB)

2 Corinthians 7:1 - Therefore dear friends, since we have such promises, we should wash ourselves from every impurity of the flesh and spirit, making our sanctification complete in the fear of God. (HCSB)

1 Thessalonians 4:7 - For God has not called us to impurity, but to sanctification. (HCSB)

Hebrews 12:14 - Pursue peace with everyone, and holiness-without it no one will see the Lord.
