I am looking for a TV. Check this out. A perfectly square tv 800x800. I like the dimensions. The problem is no price.:

That probably isn't square but a 4:3 ratio prior to widescreen TV sets computer monitors and some TV sets were like this. It is ideal if most of your watching is Fullscreen ratio (old movies from before the 60s and TV up to the mid 2000s I believe). If you are watching mostly widescreen movies and recent TV series and up to date TV shows this isn't ideal IMO. A 1.78:1 ratio or 16:9 is optimal in that most TV these days is this ratio, a lot of movies in that ratio or 1.85:1 will fit the screen pretty much fully and you will have black bars on other ratios FS will have side bars (pillars) while ratios lower than 1.85:1 (2.00:2,2.20,2.35,2.39,2.55, etc) will have bars top/bottom.
There are a lot of movies that are wider screen than todays TV sets are and essentially almost no new content in the older Fullscreen (Standard) 4:3 or 1.33:1 ratio.

Masked singers, lol and everything else:)
Almost everything that is made for TV these days is 1.78:1 ratio (16x9) and will fill a standard widescreen 1080p, 720p, 4K, 8K tv set these days. I bought a new set this year after spending a lot of time researching the technologies involved and where they are going and what is the best options.

Most broadcast signals do not produce a square picture, so your picture will be smaller with horizontal black lines or cut off on the ends. Imagine this picture but square.

I recommend a Panasonic Vierra. They are used and superior quality to anything new. But not friendly to streaming in themselves. I've seen 50 inch as low as $100.
