Looking for a specific verse or verses

I remember reading a verse or few about a statement saying something like medicine should be taken first and then prayer comes next or along the lines of that. Is anyone familiar with it or recognize it?

no, don't recall. I myself (OPINION ONLY!!), believe God made everything. So, prayer first, all natural herbs\nutrition next, then doctors as a last resort. I will try to cross reference something tonight for you.

I looked up things like "medicine", "physician", "affliction", "sickness", and "prayer" in my Nave's Topical Bible, and I couldn't find anything along the lines of what you said.

Well the original text I read was in the ancient Greek so the translation is a bit loose/shaky, so I might be wording it wrong...but I'm sure it should be one of those keywords...Sorry.
