Yup, that's right! If you would like to help the King's Tavern, here's a great chance!

We would like to host our images on ezboard's server rather than on someone's private server as the current server hosting all of the images you see here will soon be gone in a few months.

We'd like to redesign the layout and structure too with new graphics and stuff, but we've been waiting to find a server that can host our images indefinately before proceeding with the redesign. Ezboard has offered us use of their server space for this very purpose and at a very cheap price: just $20 for 12 months!

Now, as the administration team we could pay for it on our own, but we also wanted to offer you and other King's Tavern members a chance to give something to the Tavern and make a lasting difference! The first and last time we offered a chance like this was in August of 2001, and that was to achieve a goal of becomming an official ezBoard Gold board and thus have all the options you see: no ads, no banners, fast servers, and more - all things now we've taken for granted - but should be reminded that it was only by the generosity of those involved!

In March, we'll be needing to renew our Gold membership again for $45, and we'll be home free again for another six months. Altogether we're looking for a total goal of $65 in our ezBoard account by March 1st, 2002 - and if you want to help, you can by simply clicking on the link below. You may donate by secure credit card, or pay pal or other options available, and any dollar amount from 1 to infinity is accepted.

All members who donate are extremely special people. All who choose to be listed on the contributors list will recieve custom titles of their choosing, and with the redesign of the King's Tavern will recieve a special medal icon under their username if they so choose.

I help out with a sports network that offers domain hosting at cost. I enjoy your site. Maybe this is useful maybe not. This is a post off the network admin forum so it might not make a lot of sense.Here is a link to the Rams forum which is one of the bussiest on the network.

I admin a christian off topic forum as part of this network. I am waiting for my new board. These boards with this software have only been up for a few weeks



For those who have not followed, these message boards are operated by an entity called "SportsInfinity". Which encompasses nflfans.com, footballaddicts.net, baseballfans.net etc, etc) We're simply fans working together trying to keep our network aline.
In November we removed nearly all ads. We did it because it payed us a pittance and sometimes got in the way of fans' enjoyment of their forums. We're gonna try to exist withut ads, but in order to do so, we have to find ways to keep things going.
Here's our message from October and it still stands true today:

What We Need to Stay Alive...

Yes gang...we've said all along, to anyone who would listen that we needed people to click the ads. Well, that never happened. Then on Oct 22nd, the ad company had some serious problems with displaying the ads. This screwed up the speed on the message boards. So we've decided to pull the plug on ads.

Our dilemma is that we kinda depended on that $130 to $150 per month advertising check to cover the server costs. Now we're having to eat several hundred dollars ourselves. Remember, this is basically a handful of fans funding all this. No salaries, no red tape.

Our one saving grace is that we make a few dollars per domain for every $10 a month domain we host ($20 to $30 per for ECommerce sites). And it isn't low end hosting. We divide our dedicated servers up into quite nice packages and offer a great value: 50MB to 200MB of disk space, various Email accounts with your own domain name, unlimited this and unlimited that. We can beat almost any package on the 'net. Why? Same reason we can put together these awesome sports sites that compete with the million dollar a day networks... we have no salaries, no overhead, only the server costs. We're basically giving the fans for free what they have to pay for elsewhere - or at least we're taking away the annoying pop-up ads and providing state-of-the-art software for free. Not all fans understand it... but when the big megacorps keep pounding them to BUY, BUY, BUY or to sign up for "premium" garbage... we'll be here offering great services for free.


HOW YOU CAN HELP!

We need to find people who want their own web sites for $10 per month. In fact, if you have nothing now, we can set you up and you'll be there, on the web for as little as $10 per month. We ask for 6 months at a time so we don't have to invoice each month. And if you want your own domain name, it's at our cost - $12 per year. So, a whole year of web site for you or your company is just $132.

The Publishing tool we give you is easy enough for a beginner. But has enough features for a serious web enthusiast. (New commercial grade Pub Tool due out in January 2002!)
