Is it a bad thing to watch it time from time? What if one does not want to get married but has an itch and use porn as an out? I know it is not an excuse to take the edge off but will God understand especially if marriage is no where near in the future. So why doesn't God take away the lustful feelings even if you ask him too?

Does he use that as an incentive to push people to find mates? Personally I don't want to get married due to my past experiences kind of dating. Still trying to forgive fully being wronged many years ago. I know the bible says he does not hear the prayers of sinners, so does that mean that I am helpless in trying to pray for forgiveness? It seems like a bad cycle with no end of repent and doing it again. I feel like God kind of turned away from me since I turned from him a bit.

But this here, I think it's important to understand that sexual desire does not = lust. God isn't going to take away sexual desire, because we are made to have them. It is natural and not sinful.

Sexual desire is when you desire sexual intimacy. That can be directed at a specific person, as in the desire to share that with them, or it can just be generally felt, as in the desire to share that with someone.

I think porn is related to lust because you're watching images of people that you don't give two craps about - you just want them to fulfill a biological urge for you.

I totally understand where you are coming from in regard to not wanting to get married. I was in a relationship once, it was a colossal failure, and I seriously doubt I will ever go that route again. I still have sexual desires, and I know these desires will likely never be fulfilled. It's not pleasant, but I'd be worried if I lost them altogether. Never looked at porn, but I'm female... I think it's harder for guys.

Then why doesn't God take away the desire then? Being in a relationship/married is kind of bad to me. All I see is even more trouble happening than being single. Also you do not have to worry about STDs and being cheated on. It is a catch 22 that sucks.

God does not 'undo' his creation. We do not become asexual until married. Unfulfilled sexuality is not always easy to live with, but to get unnecessarily condemned or unrealistic about what 'sexual purity' entails can really add a lot of negativity to how you try to cope.

I see nothing but arguments and cheaters... My dating experiences have sucked. the women I am attracted to are not attracted to me... so why bother? I turned down those who are attracted to me but I am not to them..... Dating is not fun for me at all.

It sounds like your qualms/problems go much deeper than pron, and not in a necessarily bad way. Would I be safe in assuming that pron is an example of the main problem/qualm you are facing - the question of God hearing your prayers, problems, and acting to help you in weakness?

You are attracted to the women who show off their goods, all guys are like this. I'd say about 99% of the time, these are the type of women who are going to bring you arguments and cheating. They are going to disagree with your core beliefs because they are so enveloped in today's society where a good Christian relationship is foreign to them.

If you want my advice; I think you need to get back on track. Relationships are not bad. Sure you had some bad relationships in the past, but maybe you are just looking at the wrong type of girl for you. It's like saying that you don't like apples because all you have eaten are green apples; try the red apples! Maybe you'll like them better!

I don't know your past experiences with dating... But I do know that you should try to only date Christians. Don't date the non-Christians, they will only bring you the cheating and arguing. Sure there might be some bad apples in the batch of Christians too, you just have to be smart about it. Find someone you are attracted to and get to know them better.

Porn will bring you nothing but addiction. You should request to get into the Men's forum. I think you will find more help there!

Last one I date was a church goer...she lied and cheated and stuff....
I am attracted to women who are into sports and fitness who workout in a way but those women get taken. I am slowly closing the doors on dating.

Like you, for some reason women hate my guts. The Bible says that a man can have nothing unless God gives to him and it also says a wife/wives is/are a gift/s from God. Therefore, if you do not have a wife or wives (as I indicated on another thread, contrary to Christian teaching, polygyny is compatible with biblical teaching) it is because God has chosen to deny you what you want and need. Alas, it is the same for me.

However, I don't do pron as it doesn't do me any good.
