looking 4 outreach ideas

I guess I should have come here yesterday when I first signed up. I am still feeling my way around this site. My question is, can anyone give me any ideas they have when it comes to outreach? My church has a new pastor and he realy wants to see more outreach but is challenging us to come up with ways to intoduce ourselves to the community around us. I cant think of a better way to get suggetions then from other christians. I hope to hear from you.

well, for my church, we've programs set for children on a certain day, which serves as an outreach to the children as well as the parents. We also have special programs organised for the elderly, um... but mainly on children because there're so many of this age in the area.

Welcome Iamir! Blessed One is right, try your question on some of those forums also. Alot depends on your community. Are there lots of elderly? What about a ministry for the older folks, maybe cooking a meal and taking it out to some of the elderly people in your area. If you have lots of young couples, Mothers Day outs are usually popular.
I personally am into a very old/new ministry outreach called the visual arts! Jesus showed me HE would begin to bring the artists back to Himself and it is happening! Some artists use their art as an evangelical tool! I suggest you look at your community, pray and ask Jesus to show you what HE wants! He will give you the idea if you let Him!
