• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

look forward

I don't see my 30s as a phase. Graduating college was the last great phase change I've experienced. Being 30 seems a lot like being 25. My goals haven't changed very much. From my perspective, only something like marriage could truly move me into another phase of life.

I need to figure out what to do with myself after my kids are in school all day, which will be happening next year. For 8 years I've been a stay at home mom and now all of a sudden that is ending and I'll have 6.5 hours a day to fill with something else. And I'm beginning to realize that I should have had some plans for when that day comes. I want to figure out what my true passion in life is, and then pursue that.

Well my kids are 12 and 14 and as fast as time has seemed to go watching them grow up I know that it won't be long before they are completely grown and out on thier own.

I don't look forward to not having them in my life daily, but I do look forward to seeing what they do with thier lives.

I also look forward to the fact that my daughter graduates high school and turns 18 right before my 40th birthday (which now suprisingly doesn't sound THAT old anymore- LOL). And my hubby and I will have our 20th anniversary right around that time and he has promised me a trip to Hawaii and re-exchanging our wedding vows on the trip. So... I think I have a lot to look forward to.

Oh and also look forward to being a grandma, but let's keep that for about 10-15 yrs from now! :)

I am considering starting college in the fall of 2007 when my youngest starts kindergarten I will hopefully graduate by the time I'm 40 . depends on how long it takes me to get through what would be a 2 yr course, if I was going as a full time student and what type of child abuse advocate that dosen't require a drivers license that would enable me to work directly with abused handicapped children (I would love to be a court advocate ) .

I'm not sure I am looking to be a social worker either if this is what God wants me to do ! I know he wants me to work with abused handicapped children he made that clear to me a couple of years ago.

I can't look forward to anything until I can survive my son's teenage years. ICK

I can relate! :)

We have another 7 years before our house is paid off - certainly looking forward to that!

There will be a huge shift in the household dynamics in a few years. My oldest son will be old enough to go on his own, and my daugther will be moving on to college. My youngest 2 will be older & more independant and I will get a little bit of breathing room.

I am just looking forward
To just making it alive
Making every minute of it
Like it was my last day on earth
I should had thought of that earlier
But better late than never
