Longest gap without intercourse

A week or two- my job basically takes up my life and he wants to usually just wind down by playing video games or watching TV after work (he works later than me too). We enjoy eating dinner together and then by 9pm we're in bed and I need to get to sleep- he will actually read to me (we're finishing up Dracula tonight) until I'm ready to pass out.

Because we have this routine of where we are together, I don't think either of us feels the pressure to have sex. I'll let him know when I'm in the mood though and usually reading gets skipped He's more of a morning person and we're up pretty early (5:50am) so that doesn't really leave any time for extra activities.

I'm not sure how I would feel about hubby reading to me...he has a different "sermon" voice than his regular voice and I don't know which one he'd use to do it!!

I always feel odd telling people my husband reads to me- we're moving on to World War Z next, which is about zombies and he thinks it might be too scary for me (I can't watch The Walking Dead anymore- it gives me nightmares for weeks!) but we will see. He thankfully doesn't use any different voices, but it will annoy me if he skips words (sometimes I'll look at the pages and see what words he's skipping).

But it is sweet and helps to relax me into sleepytime.

She should see a doctor for that. As a woman I can tell you it's not normal.

Also, it's good you consider her but you also have needs which should be considered.

Yep, there's other ways to meet those needs than just sex. Ways to make him happy without hurting the wifey. But yes, hopefully they can get things to feel better for her, but it's great that they are still very much in love.

And whether a couple has sex every night or not as often isn't a good measure of how much they love each other. There are couples that are unable to have sex for physical reasons, but are still true to one another and very much in love. 'In sickness and in health, til death do us part'.

People are probably going to say that there are other ways of having sex so that your wife won't hurt, but I recommend you see a doctor and get it fixed instead. Intercourse is the main thing about sex and there is nothing that even come close to it as far as intimacy and feeling goes. Just sayin'.

I imagine that freezerman's wife has seen a doctor. There are many health issues, especially as one gets older, that mean intercourse is hindered.

I'm pregnant, and my husband has been crazy busy, and one of us has just always been too tired, or I've been too sore. Hopefully as things start to settle down for him, and as I finish work next week, we'll find the time and energy to have sex more often.

There's times when cuddling with my husband on the couch while we watch a movie is far more intimate than a rushed session in bed because we have a free minute.

For me its early mourning laying on a beach somewhere and have a conversation or a debate about anything while looking up in the sky I think that's the most intimate moment for me.

But I do agree with you sex is very intimate and it's a physical connection. However it is not the most intimate one can be with a spouse.

I believe it. There are so many health issues that could hinder things, that won't necessarily be "fixable" by doctors.
