I can only hope what I have said has not offended or hurt you (or anyone else) in any way. That was not my intent.

Believe me, fluffy, you haven't offended me at all. I asked for opinions and advice, and you and others have been giving me your straight feelings and experiences. You have no idea how much I appreciate it. With the joy I have been feeling, I have also had fear and confusion. It is a comfort to know that people are thinking about me enough to respond, even if they don't know me.

A lot of people are agreeing on the "boyfriend/girlfriend" thing, and I do regret having started those terms so soon. I'm going to try talking to her about that, because meeting definitely is the most important thing.

I talked to her tonight about the "boyfriend/girlfriend" deal. In fact, she actually brought up all the worries I had myself before I did! We've agreed that we shouldn't start thinking about it until we actually meet, but that we're still very interested in learning more about each other.

This makes me so happy! A big worry has been lifted from me. It's ironic how backing up feels like such a step forward, but I feel like we're on a much safer track. Thank you for helping me see the need, everyone!

I can personally attest to this; I'm in a long-distance relationship (thank God above that you live closer to her than I do my fiance!). David and I are engaged and I plan on moving to NY in June with him. Good luck! As long as you can keep a good head on your shoulders and not count your chickens before they hatch, you'll be all good. Don't get ahead of yourself and don't allow yourself to get too swept away.

Remember, feelings are temporary, but love and commitment? They last forever.
