CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How far away did you live? Well, it depends on whether we are at school or not but a 14 hour drive if we are at school and 3010 miles when we aren't
How long did you date? currently 1 yr 3 mo. and it has been long distance for all but 3 months and a few school breaks here and there.
Do Long Distance Relationships work? Yes, if you are commited to each other and to communicating.

Right now we are in the same city, but it's only for three weeks, and they have been wonderful. Normally I live in California, and she in Pittsburgh. In February I'll be over there and she'll still be in Pittsburgh.

The first year and a half (1.5) it was going great (local or long distance) but ever since I rededicated my life to Christ, it has been so hard. So far away and then she is the total opposite. Please friends, keep her in prayer. I hope she comes to Christ.

Yes they can i've known some people make it work, but here is the thing like in any relationship the foundation needs to be Jesus chirst, and not let emotions dragg you under, an emotions based relationship only leads to a failed relationship... me and the guy i'm courting have desided not to allow Emotions in our relationship, Let God be our frist Love and place all this at Gods feet. seeking the Lords face in our relationship... yes as any relationship its hard, i wish i could see him but on Gods timing ...

Never regret anything that made you smile.
I told myself that I would never be in one but I found myself falling for a guy who had to go away for two months because he's finishing up school in North Carolina and I'm in Florida. I've been true to him and it's actually not all that hard for me, he's here visiting me right now and should be back by Valentine's day.
