CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I am blessed with the Christians I have gotten to know here, of course. As for the learning how to walk in Jesus' footsteps... He really has shown me it's not easy or simple - and yet that was His purpose for us in the beginning. In a way, God made it easy for us to be forgiven and to be accepted into His Kingdom. However, the paving of the way of Grace we see in the OT was not so easy at all, but very bloody indeed. In the same way it is yet the same, only spiritually. It's a constant battle just as Paul described it in Ephesians. I see this as a mirror of reflection throughout history all the way to the present.
It's truly amazing how He has made me look at His words and has allowed me to see so clearly and understand. His love is beyond all of us, but I also realize that God is not just about love, but He's also a Just Judge, Vengeful in His own right and on our (those who follow Him) behalf. I'm truly grateful for being His child and for all He has done in my life.

Im also not above busting out in a bad imitation of "The Carlton" if anyone even mentions how "unusual" something is in protest.
