2 is still the OFFICIAL as far as I can tell........ we need to remember that just because we hear something on the news doesn't make it official

A US official says its 40 killed. I'll go with that...7 bombs, a destroyed double-decker bus, and by low estimates, 150 seriously injured...that will mean a lot more deaths. When Madrid happened, they also started saying only a few people died.

Umm... this totally sucks, but the media is just sending out confused information.

However the emergancy services have responded very well and people are remaining calmer. Thats what it looks like from here anyway.

I believe that they contact the families of the dead before they release figures to the media. the official figure is 2 so far, this will certainly rise.

Then that report is well behind because the Home Secretary announced OFFICIALLY at least 2 hours ago that there were only 4 bombs... as I said before, the figures are quite likely higher but its best not to speculate...

Yes, certainly not... eyewitnesses believe that there were fatalities on the bus but this has not been officially confirmed.

Tonite at best - Ironic, im trying to join the red cross at the moment, so i can learn first aid for these situations (and other more normal ones). Tried to get into TA for the same reason.
Anyhow, the emergancy services are doing their best.

Quick update from TV: A Bishop on BBC1 now talking about this subject now. he said 'do they not think we haven't been here before? Even now people are going about their normal business and just getting on with it.'

Another reporter saying in three hours he saw no panic, sense of siege, and walking wounded refusing to take up the time of emergency services!

In short, business as usual. Sure we are inconvenienced, but London is a proud city. It survived thr blitz (and being bombed is being bombed is being bombed Yojimbo, no matter who does it!) and the IRA mainland campaign. Londoners will as Londonboy on this forum shows not be defeated by pathetic bombers and that stupid attacks.

Indian News Channel ZEE news had already warned 2 days before that Terrorists may attack London at the time of G8.
