Today I received a replacement for my defect G500. Logitech sent me a G500s, which isn't due out on the market until mid May. Pics below. There are some quality and performance improvements over the G500. For those in the market for a good mouse and you're not willing to pay more than 50, then you should give the G500s a try.

As I was taking the mouse out of the box, it had dawned on me that I own quite a few Logitech products. Here is a list of the stuff laying around my house.

All our mice are wireless Logitech M510~my speakers are same brand; previous Logitech speakers had a part go bad and they couldn't replace the part so they gave me credit towards replacements and it was a very generous credit. I think one of the boys has a PC game controller that is Logitech also...pretty good company in my experience with products in wide $$$ spectrum to fit any budget.

Most of my peripherals are Logitech. Right now I'm using a G700 mouse and G710+ Keyboard. I've only been using Logitech because they make some great quality products and because they back their products up. Plus, their software has gotten so much better over the years as well. The few products I've had go bad over all these years they replaced if it was within warranty. Not too many companies do that without kicking and screaming these days.

I am however very disappointed that they have discontinued Squeezebox in favour of Ultimate Ears.

I replaced my Logitech Wave keyboard, with a Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000, after the volume buttons on the Wave stopped working. I would have bought another Wave, but Logitech stopped selling them here in Europe. Other than the keyboard all of my peripherals are from Logitech.

I don't know about in the States, but here in Europe you get a two to three year guarantee on all Logitech products. That and their good customer support make their products a must for users.
