  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

You know the old adage. Locks are not for keeping thieves out but for keeping honest men honest.

With that thought in mind I was looking to INEXPENSIVELY track either a cell phone or vehicle along with date/time stamps?

My son is getting really close to driving age. Dad keeping tabs on him is what I had in mind.
He is a good kid and well behaved but that knowledge that Dad will find out will keep him that way.

There are lots of inexpensive solutions to your issue. However, I would recommend not pursuing any of them initially. Allow your son to have the freedom and trust. He is nearly an adult if he is ready to be driving. Sure, he will probably do something dangerous or downright stupid sooner or later, but if your son is generally a good kid, then he deserves to be treated accordingly.
