This area was supposed to provide for more allowance and free speech. It was not supposed to be under the auspices of the main forum. It was supposed to be even more open than the D&D subforum.

Is it or is it not?

Because if it is, some Trads are clearly NOT understanding the concept. What good is any of this if we allow them to come in here and report like it's going out of style? Why are we allowing reports to go through to the mods when we specifically laid the groundwork for how this place was supposed to be run from the very beginning?

We need to start locking some people out who are coming in here for only one reason, which is to harass report. Because if I want this sort of grief and annoyance, I can just post in the D&D subforum.

Currently we have no one overseeing this place. When are we going to get a Prog mod in here to start nailing these whining reporters?

The thing is mjona, they have no grounds to be reporting anything here on our turf, least of all comments that are made in an area where we have a wider allowance for opinions and views.

Have all the mods been made aware of our situation in regards to our autonomy? Do they know that things which would receive an RV in the main forum don't even come close to being violations in here?

The mods need to start screening the reports coming from the Prog area. They need to start penalizing the habitual ones reporting who have no business in here to begin with, because all they are doing is wasting the mods' time.

They bemoan how 'bad' this place is and how it is 'garbage'. Yet still they come in here!! It's unbelievable!

As long as these individuals continue to do this my chances of a perma-ban are higher. I am not going to risk that and play right into thier hands. With this aggressive new sitewide rule system coming in, it doesn't look good.

If one throws big enough handfuls of crap at the mods enough times, some of it will stick eventually.

Either something has to be done so that I can speak freely in here unmolested, or I will no longer post topics I really want to discuss. Of course, doing that will also be playing into thier hands as well.

I can't win either way.

I don't ignore any reports at all. I do my best to judge each and every one fairly. I have no axe to grind here, nor any reason to favor either side of this argument.

With a large volume of reports in the system, the resolutions are delayed

It has finally occurred to me what is happening.... there are those who are members on this forum who don't know how to "discuss" things..... They believe that for every issue there is a "right" answer, one right answer in fact and once they provide it (you knew they would have to provide it) then its end of that discussion. So those members aren't looking for discussion, they might be interested in pontificating, or telling us what we should do or think, but not interested in genuine exchange. As such, when they enter a thread their goal is to give the right answer according to them and shut down the discourse.

The other thing going on is this idea that someone can post long comments (more like a sermon) as something to be read and digested, not necessarily discussed.....

That in my opinion contributes to the problem on this forum.....

Sooner or later he will get the hint that we don't want him in here throwing his weight around and get lost. Until that time, stay on him like a tick on a dog.

Nobody ever said it did. However, its purpose is defined by its members as allowed by the owner. Why do you wish to circumvent the purpose of the PROG forum?

It belongs to the owner of this website, and is subject to the rules that he has laid out. Thus it is a privilage to post in here, NOT a right.

Then you should consider it a priviledge to post here and not spend your time trying to make as many reports as you can. Either contribute positively or take your trouble-making somewhere else.

Whatever Woob. We know your agenda in regards to this place, we are not stupid. You have hated it from day one and want to rid the forum of it. I suppose you think the way to do that is to mass report until the mods get sick of the conflict in here and the owner shuts it down. You plan to use the new, stricter site-wide system as a tool to bring us down.

Don't think for a minute I don't see what you are doing. It won't work, because we outnumber you greatly in here and you will have no success with your plan. When it is seen who is the originator of all the reporting is, you will be cast out on your behind and no amount of mod-attacking, pleading or crying for mercy will work with the admin this time.

So, by all means keep reporting people. You came close to sitewide ban last time for doing this. Maybe this time the noose will take as you jump off the chair with your own behavior.
