1. How many years have you been going to school?

2. How much do you owe in loans?

I have been going to school for 4 years and I owe $39,000. Just wondering if this is normal or a lot.

I've got 2.5 years udner my belt, but I only took loans for one year. I owe $7500. I worked at Sallie Mae for a while and $39000 for 4 years isn't too far from the norm. Saw LOTS of people in the high double, and triple figures.
