Little poll on which theory you believe in?

Yes I am aware I made a poll similar to this one not too long ago, but we have many new members now. Plus, I now give you new options.

I guess that is why we have the East and the West.

The East is more mystical; while the West is more scientific and legalistic.

The east has its logic too. We do hold the Three Hierarchs at a very high level.

Of course, the Greek philosophers are highly intelligent, so too, the Greek playwrites. The Greek theologians, especially St. Gregory Palamas, are truly great saints in heaven.

Theistic Evolution, but beyond that I can't explain how God did it because it is a mystery. I can see strong scientific evidence of the development of the species, but I know God is in charge of that. I don't completely agree with Darwin, however. As long as God made the first man in his image and likeness and endowed him with an immortal soul, I am not too concerned with the rest of the details.

Not too sure but leaning towards Progressive creation. In the end all I care about is the fact that God is the agent responsible for our ultimate existence and salvation.

I basically agree with this statement but I'd also point out that Orthodoxy is not by and large in conflict with science, it seems that our very 'fuzzyness' actually allows our beliefs to co-exist with modern science better than many western denominations do, mysteries are often best left as mysteries rather than speculating upon their nature.

I voted theistic evolution by the way but I cannot honestly say this question concerns me a great deal, the only key point is that creation, although now fallen, is basically of God and therefore essentially good.

By the way, I do agree with Aria, but being the westerner that I am, I voted for Theistic evolution. You did not include Deistic evolution in the poll Andreas, though that could fall under "other" I suppose.

I find it very difficult to believe that something such as the Soul was created on accident by an exploding mass of dark matter randomly. I also find it hard to believe that people deny the existence of a Soul.
