  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Oh DH and I wanted to see it this weekend, but the only theatre playing it was downtown. We are going to go see it this weekend though. Friends of ours went to see it and sait it was really great.

I'm not sure how old your daughter is but its has some sex and drug content... also talks about suicide.

We saw it tonight. It was HILARIOUS!!!! DH and I didn't stop laughing the whole way through. Not to mention is was really well written and directed.

As for it being rated "R" - the grandfather has a cocain addiction (you see him snorting it a few times), there is also a bit of swearing, and you see the cover from a pornography mag.

But really, the movie is quite good- dark humour (think Royal Tenembaums) so if you're into those types of movies, you'll really enjoy it.
