  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Mark 6:34 NIV: When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.

We sometimes fail to see the difference we make in the lives of others. Those close to us, those to whom we are acquainted, and those we simply come in contact with day to day, can all be affected by us in ways we may never know. It has been said that, "You may be the only Bible someone else will ever read." It is true our actions do speak louder than words, and for so many, our actions speak words to them that touch, change and impact their lives. To a lost world, our lives and words bear testimony to the Christ we serve. May it be a testimony that daily draws others to Jesus.
