Why should I retire the term? I have seen people doing it repeatedly. The "dissent from Darwin" statement is a prime example of "lying for Jesus".

I agree, the last thing Christianity is is 'the religion of love', Christianity is the religion for the selfish and the egotist, they think there is a God that is there solely for them, for them it's just one long ego trip, it's just a pity it's all in their minds.
If there was a God I'm sure that God would not go searching for the dumb and the gullable people of this world.

It was St. Augustine, the original saying is "with love for mankind and hatred of sins".

You cannot date them accurately. Too much evidence has been lost in the past 4,000 or so years.
