Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

so does who actually likes going to college?

I am surprised and kinda down that I do partly because I never wanted to go (immature i know) and partly well, because I know it will end, so it'd be easier if I hated it.... totally random question I know :sorry:

I know what you mean. I like it because I like learning, and I don't like that because I don't always learn like I should. I like it because I'm rooming with the best girls ever, and I don't like it because in five months we're moving apart. I like it because I don't work while I'm going to school, but I don't like that I'll be working for the rest of my life....*sigh*

I love going to college. I like it a lot better than going to high school. I think the concept of living away from home for almost two years was a good taste of freedom. I had a roof over my head, food, and was going to school. There's something different about college than regularly structured school. More freedom with professors and scheduling and I met a number of different people and made friends I never would have made at home. I enjoyed getting my feet wet in the open world when I enrolled at 17 and this was a good push at finding out myself. *there I go with the cliches again!* ;)

I don't like going to college, but that's only because I have no idea what I want to do. I know God wants me to have some sort of secular profession at least for the next ten or so years... but past that, I don't know what!

University for me has been sorta an up-and-down thing. I love the dorm atmosphere, I (mostly) like what I'm studying, tons of friends and a lot of fun partying and hanging out. But also there's the point where I can't stay in dorms anymore and where I've got to study study study if I want to be successful in my program.

I like uni too, there's nothing wrong with loving it. It's a great thing. I love learning so uni is perfect for me. The way I love learning is kinda strange though. I only love learning about a subject when it's being taught to me by someone or by reading about it in an interesting book or textbook, but I hate assessments and exams because I hate coping with the stress and pressure.
