Ligonier Connect?

I'm very new to Calvinism and am considering enrolling in the Ligonier Connect courses mostly because of the content but also because of the opportunity to discuss it with other people.

I'm wondering if there actually is much of a community there because I've read someone suggest there isn't. Maybe that was a comment from earlier days before they really got rolling? I don't remember a date on the comment.

Does anyone have an opinion about Ligonier Connect? advice?

I have taken several of the LC classes and enjoyed the content and discussion. I am enrolled in the monthly fee option so I can take any of the classes being offered.

The level of discussion depends upon the particular course as some are more popular than others. Why not take the course and have your discussions at this site if there is little discussion opportunity at the LC site?
