That is down in Fla. this year I always think of attending that. This year I will heading to Fla. for the Rev. Shelby Spong debate in November with James White it should be a good one.

I have a question for you. No criticism, just interest and being inquisitive I guess.

Please explain to me why you would be interested in Spong's opinion on anything at all.

Good question, I am in and of myself not interested in the opinion of Spong per se', but this is a debate where Spong will have to have to prove his thessis in a positive sence. It seems that the view's of Spong are thrown about by many people those who claim to be believers and those that are not. This type of debate will help to bring foward the errors that Spong upholds as truth. In that fashion the debate is very usefull.

Thanks Bill for the clarification! Gives more weight to the idea of the debate.
I had googled and read more on the upcoming debate after your post! By Nov 2006 it should truly gather much more interest and attention.

I would be much more interested in hearing them debate on the person and work of Christ. That would be a truly useful debate.
