Hell and the Lake of fire (the Sun) are two separate things.
Hell is a place of darkness.
Yet hell is actually full of light. It's just the wrong kind of light.
It's a sort of light that only illuminates your exterior.
In hell you are judged by your external appearance.
God (the true Sun) does not judge you by your appearance.
God knows what's in your heart.
You have good insight, granpa and I see this is a deeper sense and I'd like to explain the simple details while keeping this brief; I have talked about this in other threads, as well. There is a common figure that I take with me where ever I go, and in thought. In my conscience I see the Cross in almost everything, and these discoveries continue to come as my mind is exposed to more Light.
I will say that there is a question to the two lights and we can know which is which by looking at the Cross in context. The Cross illuminates at either end of the mast, the Image of Christ on the Cross is of the first seven commandments nailed to the Cross in and as Christ, while the last three commandments be under the Feet/ten toes of Christ, and the last three form the image as the Moon.
The First fruit is Christ and His Image on the Cross, and is also the Image of the Seven Sons, while the last three be the three daughters, and are of the Moon. God gives us the Sun to rule by Day, and the Moon to rule by night; this is the two seasons of the two witnesses, and just as the cycle of Life in a Day, and throughout all parallel parenthood's. It's an image of the parents, the Father rules in the Daylight when He comes to dwell with us, and the night is when He ascends up to heaven for an appointed time while we should be asleep, and silent; the Mother are when the Women Liberate the world, and the Day is when God is raised up in Men and He is renowned and Glorified and this is the Millennium period for God.
The Cross is animated as I read your post, and I agree with the principal idea in your mind so I'd like to suggest this:
The light that is not true light is moonlight, it's a reflection only and during the time when God's people are to be living in faith and in silence as they await His arrival but there's been a revolution in the Third Temple and blasphemies are blurting out in Turbo Voices by liberals.
The True Light is when the Sun rises but He has great troubles (Jacob/Judah) rising as the moon is resisting to set and go down so that the Sun-men may rise over the Moon-women. It's Life in prophecy and this is why we have same sex issues that link to this issue of ignoring the gender in the Word. It's a parallel to the Cross, and either end or side are as the man and the woman.
Your post paints a picture of a Cross pegged in a hole, and it is either UPright or upside down in the hole in various stages of the prophecy being spoken. The moonlight illuminates the hole where it's dark and the Cross is UPright, and is the bed for the wicked in Hades while the children enjoy the Sunlight at Daytime and they run as young calves in green pastures as they are then 'ON' (not in the hole upside down) the earth in both Flesh and Spirit.
When the Cross is inverted it is by violations that come from corruption, and the wearing down of the saints to where they have no strength remain to resist and they drown in the flood waters of corruption and lose their Identity in God, and in this world. The entire lineage of the Seed is affected then, and it is later Restored in prophetic time according to the law and the prophets.
We are currently in the night season after the Women's Liberation Movement of 1848, and the moon was raised then; the time approaches for the Sun to Rise and a warning comes to as why it will come as a surprise to the world while the Cross is inverted in the hole.
The inverted Cross is an image of the raised moon overhead, and at the top, and the Sun is in the hole, and this is how hell is illuminated during the night season.
I can go on further if I must. I hope that you get the general idea of the Cross in all things as using it like a Key. I visualize an animating Cross as I read the Words in their unadulterated form, as to the best that we can get these days. I must have the KJV as the main voice in a multi-witnessing world of Bibles.
May our Father in Heaven bless you granpa!
