• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

hi everyone just wanted to share today.
im feeling pretty low and down today. aswell as alone.
i just dont think anybody REALLY CARES.
its hard being in a ministry, i didnt realise how hard it is.
husband works long hours. i havent got many friends.
i think the worlds just FORGOTTON me.
i keep getting let down by one particular one at the moment which isnt helping.
its so HARD. i could really do with some company today..

Some people don't and you have to remember that, none of us can "REALLY" care about everyone.

What happens is that the people who you want to care may not care in the capacity that you expect.

We may never know who really cares till they are put into a position to prove it. I have done this very thing. Typically I burdened a friendship with my woes and depression and expectations, then when they do what most normal humans do (realize they can't help you in the first place) they stop trying, and I would validate my feelings of abandonment. It's not thier fault for being human.

One thing that helped me in depression is to recognize an emotional setup. An emotional setup is where you create an instance thats gauranteed to either be a true nagative or will fail due to its improbability.

In this case, the world never knew you in the first place, so how can the world forget something it never knew? So you have set yourself up for failure here.

You do not need alot of friends, chances are you know at least one person who likes you. Write that person a hand written letter telling them how much you appreciate them, not a phone call or an e-mail.

Hand deliver that letter while taking them out for a burger or coffee. Do not let them open it until they get home.

hey babe,

I feel like there is something missing from this puzzle. Sister I want you to realize that there are 2 voices in your head. One leads to the holy spirit and other leads to death.

I always site "Legions" to kinda picture what your sinful nature is and it's aims.

Mark 5:8-13
8 For Jesus had already said to the spirit, “Come out of the man, you evil spirit.”

9 Then Jesus demanded, “What is your name?”
And he replied, “My name is Legion, because there are many of us inside this man.” 10 Then the evil spirits begged him again and again not to send them to some distant place.
11 There happened to be a large herd of pigs feeding on the hillside nearby. 12 “Send us into those pigs,” the spirits begged. “Let us enter them.” 13 So Jesus gave them permission. The evil spirits came out of the man and entered the pigs, and the entire herd of 2,000 pigs plunged down the steep hillside into the lake and drowned in the water.

That being said, meditate on this. All these constant thoughts that no one loves you and not worth nothing. I look around on CF and they love you big time. I don't know what is going on at the home front, maybe use some help there.

My point is to question all these emotions and insecurities you get. Learn to know the enemy within and how it tries to drag you down. Fear, worry, guilt, envy, etc are all tools of our sinful nature. Don't let it get you to drown.

You aren't alone .. look around here, I see many many people here reaching out to you, and who really love you, and I don't know any of you yet really, but I feel the love they have for you, that makes you a rich person indeed.
Though, I know the feelings of depression and sometimes it doesn't help when you walk away from the computer and you are "alone" seemingly, sense God can feel far away, even if He isn't really.
Just know there is help, support and services and these feelings do pass and things do happen that make this all better... listen to friends and hang in there.... this too shall pass, let the angels comfort you now, as they did Christ when He too felt alone... the dawn is coming ... and soon this weight will be lifted. Just be open and allow help in.
