Am I the only one that life just seems to play dirty tricks on? I had finally reached a point in my life where I had decided that a that a certain person wasn't even worthy of my concern. I was looking to God and waiting for the future! Then yesterday after work, I stop by a Chinsese restaurant to get something to eat. The waitress hands me the bill, and a fortune cookie. Now normally these cookies, no where even apply to me. I open this one up and it says "Someone you care about seeks reconcilliation". It was weird, those letters seemed huge on that little strip of paper. It felt almost surreal, like I was daydreaming, but I was not.

I thought for a minute, and said "I'm not falling for something like this again". The last time I checked the "person I cared about" was wanting to call the cops, because I told her that she needed to put God first in her life, and not be with a non-believer.

I don't know. They say nothing happens by coincidence. I would like to think things like this are a message from God, but I have to believe it is just the devil taking pop shots at me, trying to get me down.

Sorry, I just had to vent!

Hmmmm.....I don't know. I never put much stock in fortune cookie fortunes. I lump them in with horoscpoes. I got an e-mail the other day that told me starting January 31 I would experience 72 days of the best luck I had ever had in my life. I just laughed and said, yeah, whatever. But, I guess you never know.

But, let's just say there is some truth to it. Maybe something you said to her hit home with her and she at least wants to have some closure. Would you accept that?

1 of today's Bible study emails I posted here was, "When wisdom comes.."

It's on "Friendship Court", @ 4/5 hours ago, & really emphasises going to God & His Word for wisdom

Satan, as "the great deceiver..the father of lies..the destroyer" often puts in an element of truth, to gain our trust - but even human liars habitually twist whatever truth they may choose to use, so don't give Satan any credence at all

If God wants to tell us something, He does not choose the enemy of souls, or his minions, as a mouthpiece

"Have nothing to do with the unfruitful works of darkness: rather expose them"

"If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, & it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe & not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown & tossed by the wind" - James 1:5/6

God bless!
