  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I find myself in a constant state of uncertainty. I am lost, and not found among my friends. I cannot find my way out from among the 'cattle' of sociaty. Perhaps I am over reacting upon my situation, however I would like for those who believe prayer is healing to pray for me so that at the very least I can find my way.

This sounds so selfish. I wonder if I am doing the right thing. But God loves me, and so I shall summon courage to press this "Submit" link. Please pray for me to find my way.

You're not being selfish at all-you're being real! God put us all down here to help each other and to bear each other's burdens. I know I'm not alone in praying for you.

Locked Away,

I am praying for you and your needs. :prayer:

Father, I ask that you be with your daughter and grant her peace. I ask that you speak to her and make yourself known to her so that she might be able to understand why she goes through these tough times. I thank you Lord for the love that you have given us all, and I pray that you will just continue to shed your love out for Locked Away. I ask that you bring people in to her life that you want to be there and that you lift these feelings of loneliness, confusion, or whatever binds her away. Thank you Father for hearing our prayers. In Jesus name, Amen!

God bless you, sister.

Sometimes life is so hard to understand, isn't it? I'm much older than you, and I still struggle sometimes. When this happens, I ask Jesus to carry me through. If you ask him to guide your future, He will give you the best.

We care about you! God bless.

We do care. I know pray works because my life is a living testimony. My life, as yours, is not only uncertain but in a constant state of emergencies. I know prayer is something to NOT be taken lightly, God listens and answers, not always as we want, but how He knows it will work out. :groupray:

A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in His holy habitation (Ps. 68:5).

Do not worry, saying, "What shall we eat?" or "What shall we drink?" or "What shall we wear?" . . . For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things (Mt. 6:31-32). What man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! (Mt. 7:9-11).

As a dad, I am eager to come to my children's aid. It may be a skinned arm or leg that needs some cleaning up, a bandage, and most of all, a little sympathy. It may be some help in trying to understand a tough homework assignment. It could be help in handling a conflict with a fellow student or a neighbor. It could be protecting them from a large, mean-looking dog that suddenly showed up in our front yard. Sometimes it is simply a hug when they are feeling left out or lonely.

I thank you all. I am sorry for not being on for such a long time, however I have found my life again. And come to find out, it was because of all your kind words and thoughts towards the heavens above.

Thank you so much...I've found my way through the darkness. You were my candles in the night, I was the lost. But now I can be a candle again, and with your help, it is still burning. Thank you, I can never thank you enough.
