Have any Christians here seen and/or enjoyed this film? Did you think it was blasphemous (even though Jesus doesn't appear in it), or just plain funny?

Do you accept mainstream science's take on just about anything?

I have a baseless hunch that those who can laugh at this film are more likely to be comfortable with both science and their God. It would be interested to find out how right or wrong I am.

I love this movie, my favorite Monty Python flick. As for mainstream science, God gave us the ability to reason, and he created this entire universe just for us. Discovering all we can about it is a noble endeavor. However, there are many things that the public takes for granted as "mainstream science" that isn't mainstream science at all, and which many scientists, even non-Christian scientists, debate to this day. Evolution, for example. I'm not gonna start an evolution discussion here, that's for another forum, but most of the public doesn't understand that it's NOT a 100% accepted theory as to the origins of mankind, even by secular scientists and anthropolgists.

But I digress. God is good, science is good, and Life of Brian is hillarious.

Although I enjoyed The Holy Grail much more..:) ..I enjoyed the movie because of the mere fact that I have a great sense of humor and love to laugh. Being able to laugh at this movie doesn't have much to do with science for me but just the joy to be able to laugh and see humor. :)

I consider the Life of Brian to be one of the best movies made in the last 30 years. And I suppose I fall easily into the "accept mainstream science's take on just about anything" category.
