• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

    If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

    If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hey Moonshine. Have to recommend a book. Have you heard of "The Shack?" Quick intro: MacKenzie Phillips (Mack) takes family on camping trip. Daughter is murdered (not graphic). A great sadness comes over Mack. 3 yrs letter he receives a note from "Papa" (God) asking him to meet him at The Shack. There ensues a weekend that Mac has with "Papa." It is 'fiction' but written as a parable wrapped in truth. True pain, true struggles. The author wrote it for his six children and from there the book has skyrocketed. I highly recommend it and I hope you read this post. Barnes/Nobles carries it, Walmart has it. It is now in paperback. If you have not read this, pleaseee do. You will read it again and again. No sorry, I haven't read this book yet, but I will see if our local library has it.

@GreenMunchKin: I'm doing great! College is on the go again, they have selected a new CEO and everyone is happy. Also got a great job in the afternoons where my bosses are also christian and very nice people.

Life started look alot brighter once I accepted the Lord into my life again.

Sure The devil has attacked me time and again with small things in his cowardly way. But with God by my side, there is nothing I can't overcome :)

Once again thanks!

:clap::clap:

That's precisely what I meant!! I remember when I became a Christian, someone prayed for me about a week later and prayed that the devil stay away from me, or at least, that I not be put off by his attacks, and it *really* freaked me out. I didn't want to ask so categorically in case it had a similar impact on you, but you answered anyway :D :hug:

The thing is, satan is *furious* that you've returned to the Lord... the angels, meanwhile, are having a party in Heaven :clap:

And that's awesome that your bosses are Christian :) It sounds like God really, really wanted you back, bro :D Yay!
