an optometrist? wow that's awesome! :) I couldn't do anything like that. Just shows that God has different plans and gifts for everybody!

Servant4God, that's awesome that you're pursuing something by going to Bible College. Would you go for? a Youth Ministry program of sorts?

Lately I've been having this idea/dream circle around in my head of a city wide (eventually province, then country, then world) weekly worship where everybody gets together just to worship God, whether Catholic, Orthodox, Lutheran, Pentecostal, Baptist, Mennonite, Anglican, or whatever... you know, One Body without any bounds what-so-ever, even though we may have doctrinal differences.

wow that sounds awesome. My uncle is a worship leader in Abbotsford Canada, and they do something like you just stated ChurchPunk. I'm not sure though if they still do it, but i think they do.
Yea, if God would want me to do a Youth Ministry Program thing, i would totally be up for it. I love reaching out to teenagers.

I have a lot of other dreams as well, but the most prominent one has always been the idea of being a husband to a wonderful and Godly woman, and being a father. I have weird views about carreer and social reputation - neither of them are things I'm concerned with to any large degree. I dunno, call me an underachiever. :p

I was just curious what everybody's life dreams were...
Like a lot of people here, find a godly spouse and start a family and get a job that I'll enjoy.

ie. what do you want to do with your life? Do you have a dream job?
I've always wanted to work with animals so my dream job would be to be a vet. I have always wanted to live out west too, I love the mountains and the country, so somewhere in Wyoming or Colorado would be great.

Also, are you pursuing/living those dreams? If not, why?
Yes, well some of them. Right now I'm working on a degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Education.
The part about finding a spouse and starting a family is still in the works, I'm just waiting for God to bring the right person into my life. As for the living out west, we'll see what happens after school.

I want to complete my undergraduate education in a field related to international development. Right now I am an Anthropology major and hope to take courses in economic anthropology, applied anthropology and anthropological perspectives on development in the Third World.

After completing my undergraduate education I hope to use that and employment and volunteer experience to get an assignment in the U.S. Peace Corps (very competitive, it is my understanding; I think that I have read that only 1 out of 4 applicants are accepted, but don't quote me on that).

I hope to use Peace Corps service--or some similar experience--as a foundation for employment in international development. I would like to be in a role where I directly help form policy, but a supporting role would be rewarding as well. Possible employers include the federal government in the U.S., the United Nations and NGOs (non-governmental organizations).

Same here. Being a stay at home dad sounds great to me. There's few careers more fulfilling than raising & being with your kids. I'm not sure if I'll ever have them but I've felt this way in the past.

Well, I wouldn't necessarily want to be a stay at home dad, but carreer isn't a priority in my life.
