life dreams

I was just curious what everybody's life dreams were...

ie. what do you want to do with your life? Do you have a dream job? what do you want in life, etc?

Also, are you pursuing/living those dreams? If not, why?

I'm still figuring that out hehe

I'm taking Bible courses right now so I can be fully equipped for where ever God leads me (which I'm hoping is either in missionary work of some kind or in writing ) And I'm also pursuing my interest in foreign languages which could turn into working in the field of translation.

But yeah... we'll see how God leads

Really though, my biggest dream is just to be a wife and mom, and I figure all the stuff I'm pursuing now could be put to good use to teach my kids (I have been planning for years to raise each of my future kids speaking a different language so fighting is impossible ) so it won't be knowledge that goes to waste if I do end up getting married

But thats something I'm leaving in Gods hands though

My dream is to get married and have a family. As long as I can spend my life with someone I love, and raise children in a caring, Christian family, all my other dreams seem insignificant.

However, I also wouldn't mind being a famous novelist.

Also, are you pursuing/living those dreams? If not, why?

In a way, I suppose I am... I'm pursuing the dream of getting married, by first learning to be content being single. And I know that no matter how much I love my future husband, I won't have a good marriage unless I love God more. So spiritual growth is an important way I am pursuing my dream.

As for the dream of being a novelist-- I'm currently writing a novel. It's not good enough to make me a famous novelist, but it's good practice, anyway.

my life dreams are to be married oneday to a wonderful christian woman who has a heart for God, volunteer work, and ministry.

i would also like to live an adventurous life as well and may join the Coast Guard and become a rescue swimmer.

i want to become a youth/childrens minister when im older

Besides having a family, my life dream is to open my own school and retail shop - someday.

I'm working on those at a snail's pace right now, writing business plans which can be so fun .

But I actually like my job and my career path. I love art and education, so I'm finally in the right place. My work is challenging, very funny, and meaningful.

I've got a few dreams, most of which involve getting married and owning a petting zoo and a lemur colony, however, that's subject to change per. God's designs. I'd like to be a part of a missonary trip to Asia at some point, but that's also subject to change per. God's designs.

Do you have a dream job?

Not currently; I am in college right now. After I graduate, I hope to help people through mental health counseling.

Another job that I think would be a dream job for me is to train service dogs.

Well, I already said that I want to help people. I also want my family to live long, healthy, and happy lives and I would like them to continue to be a big part of my life. I want to always have a dog. I want to be independent again one day and be able to support myself. And it would be nice to stay physically and mentally healthy.

I just want to live to serve Christ. I am going to school right now and studying Theology because that is what He wants me to do. I believe one day I will get married and have a family but beyond that the future is wide open, and I like it that way!

I want to work with young children, which I am doing now. I am trying to find a new job closer to hoem for Sept. So hopefully God helps me find a great place to work. I also wanna get married and start a family and then become a SAHM and when my children are old enough to be in school, I may do a preschool or a small daycare in my own home or work part time while they're in school.

I going to start by saying yes, I am pursuing my dreams. I go to Penn State and I'm majoring in English because God blessed me with a talent to write. I'm adding a medicine minor to enable myself career opportunities at pharmaceutical companies and medical journals. I also want to use my writing to glorify God through magazines, books, and on the internet . I blog on a website about issues that God puts on my heart and back everything with scripture as a way to reach out to non-believers and believers alike. I would also love to have a family in the future, shared with my God fearing husband.

awesome dreams so far everybody

for me... well, my biggest dream is to be a wife and a mother. I would almost say I want nothing more than to have a WHOLE family that is healthy and relational.

I want to be a worship pastor/leader, whatever you want to call it. It used to scare me, but now I have such a passion to just lead others in worship, and I know it's from God. Soo... I'm going to school to be a worship pastor. Eventually I would love to get a Masters degree as well, so I could teach at a Bible College or something...

I would love to live on an acrage, near a fresh-water body of water but that's just bonus stuff

I still have dreams & am still waiting for them to come true.

Since most of the replies are from people under 30, the best advice I can give you is to just pursue them now. I've probably had chances to fulfill some of mine & didn't thinking I could do it later. You need to strike while the iron is hot.

Another analogy that fits when a rookie in football or baseball gets to the Super Bowl or World Series & loses, they always think "I'm young. They'll be other chances". But sometimes there aren't second chances.

So go for it NOW!

sometimes I wonder if some of my dreams are too "out there" or big... but then I remember that my God is much bigger... *shrugs* I dunno... something I've just been thinking about a lot lately...

I want to go into the ministry. I don't know exactly what i want to do though. I'm thinking my ministry will come when I meet my husband. But I believe God wants me to reach out to people on the streets and troubled teens. That's really what I have a passion for, the lost. I'm hoping to go to bible college next year, and maybe that will help me figure out what God's wants me to do.

So far my dreams are comming true. My dreams are my prayers. Im in a 4yr college; my familly is safe and healthy, and God has giving me faith, wisdom, and a soft heart which Im thankfull for.
For my dreams that thave'nt come true, yet. I wanna be married to a man who loves God truly and have at least 3 wonderful children, I want to achieve success in college, because my dream is to become an optometrist. I also want to travel the world( Africa) and preach the word of God.
